Definitions of an Art Class & an Art Workshop

Art Workshop

An Art Workshop is a concentrated art class that takes place over a 2, 3, 4  & 5 day consecutive period. Such as a Saturday & a Sunday, or A Tuesday through a Friday,.etc. This allows for a lengthy class period lasting from 4 hours a day, to 6 hours a day. Students will have the opportunity to learn a great deal over a short period of time. This can also benefit those who have a more complicated schedule where blocking out a few days together is easier than committing to a weekly class that runs for 6 weeks or more.

Art Class

(Group or Private)

a weekly, bi -weekly or every 3rd week class. Classes lasts for 2 to 3 hours and run for 6 weeks or more. At different times during the calendar year there will be day and evening class options. Contact Tiffany for availability.

What to expect with the art classes..

Tiffany’s art classes are taught in such a way that the student not only learns how to create art with a specific medium ( ex. paint, pencil, etc), but also learns how to care for their art supplies, use new and unusual tools to achieve specific results,..and mix different mediums to achieve amazing new effects.

For beginners the art classes always start with the fundamentals of just how to apply the medium to the appropriate surfaces. So at no point is the student feeling fearful about actually using the tools for their chosen medium.( brushes, pencils, exacto blades, oil mediums,..etc.)

Tiffany teaches at the pace of the student. Allowing some to move forward to the next steps, while others might need a bit more attention to certain techniques. The art classes are all structured to be a relaxed environment where students are encouraged to ask questions and move at their own speed.

Most group art classes and art workshops will each cover a specific medium, and possibly subject matter. While the Wednesday Night Art Class for 16 through adult, allows each student to work in the medium of their choice.Some of these classes will allow students to bring in an image of their own choosing to refer to as a reference for the subject of their piece of art. While other classes will have a preset subject matter that Tiffany provides and the students will refer to when rendering the image they create.

Students will complete at least one piece of art or project within the class or workshop. In some situations some students may complete more than one piece of art. Tiffany pays special attention to how each student learns, and adjusts her teaching method to best assist their individual needs. By teaching through visual examples and demonstrations students are able to quickly apply the new techniques that are taught in class.

Private Art Classes

Private art classes are available periodically throughout the year. Please check the web site or contact Tiffany directly for calendar options. Each private class is designed around that students needs and interest. Whether child or adult, special consideration is given to what the student hopes to achieve by the end of the 6 to 9 week private class sessions. One art project will be completed if not two. Private class sessions run for 6 to 9 weeks.

A child typically meet for 1.5 to 2 hours per class.

An adult typically meets for 2 to 3 hours per class.

Private Art Classes fee is $35 to $38 an hour

Class Contracts & Payments

all Classes & Workshops require a signed contract, with a 50% deposit with the final 50% due upon the first day of class. ( except for the Wednesday Night Art Class, which pays by the evening, with a minimum 6 week commitment to class).

Prices for individual workshops and group classes vary, depending on length of class (hours) and how many sessions students meet for class. ( ex. number of days class takes place). Please refer to workshop or class listings schedule for the  specific fee for each class or workshop.
