artist thoughts:

A rare treat for an early morning. I loved the glazed thickness of this sweet bun. And yet the contrast of the crunchy nuts on top seems to complement the soft gooeyness of this bun. Again, I marvel at just how many textures and color variations that are found in food that we pay little to no attention to every day.

As I spoke of before, there is a bit of a movement going on in the art world, where artists are creating painting 5x5” to 8x10”. And accomplishing two things by doing this. One: the artist gets to explore more subject matter as paintings are finished faster due to size. and Two: The artist creates an original painting that is smaller in size and therefor can be priced at a very affordable price. To the point that it is in a price point that most people can afford to start their own original art collection.
