artist thoughts:

I love painting food. And there is something about the smooth surface and salty richness of an olive, that I wanted to capture. While enhancing the feeling of the painting with the dark reflective bar surface. I imagine the evening, as cocktails between friends, midway through a conversation you can only have late at night over drinks.
