Chocolatey Darkness, is a 5x5 oil painting on stretched canvas. The canvas is considered to be a 3/d or gallery wrap style. Meaning, that there are no staples on the edges of the canvas. And that the canvas has a thick edge, in this case the edge is 1" thick, and is painted to allow for display with no frame. So this original oil is ready to hang or display on an easel. ( The piece can be framed as well if the collector so chooses)

I love painting food. I have sense I was a little girl. It is just so decadent and full of interesting textures. I have painted chocolates before, and always find further inspiration for a new interpretation of rich the little sweets. This piece brims with the perfect solution to that after dinner desire of " I just need a tiny bite of chocolate". I wanted the viewer to be almost able to imagine the smooth thickness of the chocolate icing.
